Dove Review
“Suddenly!” is a classic film starring Frank Sinatra. Most of the film takes place in the household of a woman whose husband was killed in the war, which has caused her to fear guns. The melodrama plays out as three killers attempt to plot the assassination of the president of the United States while taking the woman, her father, son, and the local sheriff hostage.
Due to the gun violence we are awarding our Dove Seal for ages 12 and over to the film, noting also that the picture is in black and white, which reduces the visual imagery somewhat since we don’t see red blood on the victims. The film will appeal to a more cerebral audience since it contains more drama than action but the nostalgia may attract a slightly wider viewer base.
