Dove Review

What a terrific movie about marriage and the hope to make it work! The film is based on a true story. Ted McGinley is outstanding as Paul Tyson, a corporate leader that is about to renew his vows with his wife of twenty years, Beth (Teri Copley), when a young businesswoman named Julia Santos (Ana Ayora) walks into his life. It seems that Paul and Beth’s friends, David (David A.R. White) and Liz, have separated and Paul soon learns how unhappy David is without his wife. Still, Paul finds himself drawn to Julia, thinking and daydreaming about her. The pastor’s sermons have been on marital fidelity but unfortunately Paul’s business and his finances are in trouble, and he hasn’t been making it to church. In fact, he even misses his son’s softball game.

This movie does a remarkable job in clearly showing how easy it could be to fall into a trap and forget about what one could lose by making the wrong choices. It further demonstrates the need for God in one’s life in order for marriage to have the best shot at success. The movie features an intriguing side story about an inside man (Kevin Downes) that plans to destroy Paul’s company. “Redeemed” is an inspiring movie, dramatic and compelling, and we are pleased to strongly recommend it and to award it our Faith Friendly Seal for ages twelve plus. Watching this move for an hour and a half is time well spent. “Redeemed” has earned five Doves, our highest rating. It is a quality production with an interesting story and superb performances.
