Dove Review

William Tyndale was a courageous man who lived his life uncompromisingly committed to God. During the time he lived, the Scriptures were only available to those in the Church of England, but he believed that the Scriptures should be accessible to all people who spoke the English language.

Tyndale was the first man to make and print a translation of the Scriptures from the original Greek into English. The translation, over which he labored throughout his life, formed the foundation for the King James Version of the bible which is still popular today.

Tyndale trusted God and the promises written in the Scriptures, which he believed to be living, active and true. He had an unwavering faith in what would happen when the Scriptures were released in English to the people — even during a time when translating even one word from Greek to English was illegal.

Tyndale paid the ultimate sacrifice when he was martyred for his faith. He was willing to live out his unwavering commitment to follow God’s call to the end. This film offers a captivating behind-the-scenes look at a pivotal time in Christian history and in the life of one humble man who submitted to God. We are pleased to award “Man with a Mission” the Dove Faith Friendly Seal for ages 12 and up.
