Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch

That fun, four-legged hero, Buddy, the sports-happy golden retriever, is back for a fourth adventure in this direct-to-video release. After conquering basketball, football and soccer, the canine all-star exhibits his superior athletic skills at America’s traditional pastime, baseball. When Josh (Kevin Zegers) heads off to college, he leaves Buddy at home with his younger sister Andrea (Caitlin Wachs). With her parents busy with a new baby, and her older brother gone, Andrea is experiencing some growing pains. She struggles to fit in at her new school, but life is lonely and difficult. She even tries out for the baseball team, but she’s terrible at it, until Buddy shows her how to put on the dog. But the fun turns into a mystery as some wacky scientists dog nap Buddy’s puppies to attempt cloning “sports dogs.” Kids of all ages will enjoy this latest “Air Bud” adventure.

Dove Review

This story is another chapter in the “Air Bud” series. This one finds Andrea adapting to the change of Josh leaving home for college. The new baby is garnering all the attention at home and Andrea is a bit lonely, until her best friend ropes her into playing baseball. Andrea knows next to nothing about baseball but, with the help of Buddy, who is amazingly adept at the game, she begins to improve and not only winds up in some big game situations, but in helping free some dog-napped dogs.

This film is very wholesome and we award it our Dove Seal and recommend it for all ages.
