Synopsis

Benjamin Stone is a young doctor driving to L.A where he was offered a new job as a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills. He gets off the highway to avoid a traffic jam, but gets lost and ends up crashing into a fence in the small town of Grady. He is sentenced to 32 hrs of community service at the local hospital. All he wants is to serve the sentence and get moving, but gradually the locals become attached to the new doctor, and he falls for the pretty ambulance driver, Lou. Will he leave?

Dove Review

Michael J. Fox and his supporting cast provide audiences with a delightful and somewhat credible portrayal of a young ambitious doctor with aspirations of big bucks as a plastic surgeon in plastic capital of the world, Beverly Hills. This story entertains while getting a valuable message across of substance over style. Small town values drive this driven young professional right into the arms of a welcome community and the ideal girl next door. Family members over age 12 will enjoy this comedy with a wistful message of hearth and home.
