Rolie Polie Olie: Olies Winter Wonderland

Olie (big brother) and Zowie (little sister) share their adventures such as a visit to Klanky Klaus in “Jingle Jangle Wish.” In “Cool It,” we see what happens when one of Dad’s wacky inventions turns a hot summer day into a chilly winter wonderland. “Starry, Starry Night” features Klanky Klaus to the rescue, and “Snowie” sweeps Olie and Zowie into a world of frosty fun when a lovable snowman comes to life. All that plus three more holly-jolly adventures offer tons of fun as Olie and his pals laugh, play and celebrate the most wonderful time of the year in the whole round universe.

Dove Review

This video shows a perfect family of robots. The big brother always helps his little sister. The kids both love mom and dad. Mom and dad are devoted to each other and their kids. It certainly can show a good example of exemplary behavior for your kids — and the whole family. The two children never disagree or argue. If the little sister wants the toy, big brother lovingly hands it over. Somebody wrote a good program when they programmed these guys!! Everything is just perfect in their perfect world.

It really is a cute video though, and it also takes the family on some fantasy adventures. For example, they go to the newly discovered Ice Cream Planet and eat ice cream all day. Little Olie is hot on a summer day and dad rigs up a quick invention to make snow and a perfect ice-skating rink where the family plays together all day. Olie visits Klanky Klaus to make sure the only toy his sister wished for is on his Christmas list. (When little Zowie sat on Klanky Klaus’ lap, the only things she told him were things for others in her family).

It is neat how they handle it when Zowie breaks a beloved Christmas ornament that had been in the family for generations. Nobody gets mad – they all discuss that accidents happen. Nobody wants her to feel bad. I don’t want to ruin the plot for you, but it turns out “ok.”
