Synopsis

A true story about a real hero. Eastside High was a training ground for jail. Then Joe Clark took over. Now the kids are getting something they never had. A future.

Dove Review

This movie was supposed to be based on a true story of a man who gave everything he had to try and change Eastside High School from a graffiti covered drug dealer’s hang out to a school where the kids could learn and eventually pass the standard knowledge exam. Morgan Freeman plays this role really well. At first all of the kids hate him and some of the parents hate him even more because he expels all of the kids who were documented troublemakers. But with a lot of hard work and a firm hand, he turns the school around and help the kids learn what they had to do in order to pass the state-wide test. This was a really good movie and it teaches us to not give up on what we believe in. I would reccommend it to anyone.
