Synopsis

Trapped in a fire that looks likely to kill him, a fireman (Phoenix) takes the opportunity to look back over his life, career and marriage, while he waits for his company, Ladder 49, to rescue him, if they can… (Travolta plays Phoenix’s fire chief and mentor; Barrett plays his wife).

Dove Review

Joaquin devoted his whole life to helping other people. He became a firefighter, saved many lives, fell in love, started a family, and still managed to go to work every day and risk his life. Now he’s trapped in a burning building and his whole life is flashing before his eyes. But when you live a good life filled with amazing people, knowing that you’re going to die helping others and doing what you love makes it a little easier to let go.
