Adventure Patrol: Totally Rocks

Each thirty-minute title in the Adventure Patrol series takes kids along on exciting, outdoor adventures through a combination of explanations from a hip, fun host and quickly-cut action segments set to music. Not only do these videos introduce kids to myriad outdoor adventures, but they also promote positive personal and social values such as outdoor stewardship, teamwork, dependability, self-reliance and responsibility, perseverance and the value of physical fitness and healthy nutrition to all aspects of life.

Geared for children 4-8 years old, the Adventure Patrol series is a collaboration with the National Outdoor Leadership School. “Totally Rocks” is a wild, weekend long adventure into the red rock mountains of Utah. Zeke, our host for the entire series, invited kids to come along with him as he learns how to mountain bike, rock climb, go canyoneering and explores Native American Indian art, dance and homes. Zeke’s “lessons” are contrasted with extreme sports footage not only showing kids what can be accomplished with practice, but that being a beginner and learning a new sport is cool, too.

Dove Review

The Adventure Patrol is a fantastic series that will teach children (and maybe adults) things about the great outdoors. This particular episode deals with the amazing land of Utah. As you watch the patrol on this adventure, they will catapult you in to some great outdoor recreation activities such as rock climbing and hiking. Throughout the show there are many values of life that Zeke and his pals prove to be useful. The whole family can watch this and get some ideas that might help plan that next vacation.
