Synopsis

Musician brothers Cesar and Nestor leave Cuba for America in the 1950s, hoping to hit the top of the Latin music scene. Cesar is the older brother, the business manager, and the ladies’ man. Nestor is the brooding songwriter, who cannot forget the woman in Cuba who broke his heart.

Dove Review

Two brothers, Cesar and Nestor, leave Cuba to start a career in America as musicians. This is what Nestor thinks the plan is, but Cesar has a secret about his love back in Cuba, Maria. She married a man, Luis, and he told Cesar if they didn’t leave Cuba that they would kill him. They got to New York City and made it big. They played in the hottest, hippest clubs. But all Nestor could think about was Maria. He missed her and wanted to see her. Eventually the truth is told. This movie is different. It has a lot of exciting music to it. The music was mamba, salsa type fun music. The storyline kept my attention by dealing with the secret and I wanted to see how the story would be resolved.
