Bananas: TV Season 1- 4 Disc Set

Bananas is the “appeeling” comedy show for the whole family! “Bananas TV Season 1” contains more than 10 hours of comedy on 4 hilarious DVDs. Laugh along with Anita Renfroe, Bob Nelson, Daren Streblow, Jeff Allen, John Branyan, Kenn Kington, Leland Klassen, Mike Williams, Nazareth, Paul Aldrich, Taylor Mason, Ted and Lee, and Tim Hawkins! This impressive collection of talent goes beyond comedy to include ventriloquists, musicians, songwriters, actors, playwrights and more.

Dove Review

There is nothing like a good laugh! Especially enjoyable is when the humor comes from a comedian who is clever and industrious enough to keep his material clean. Comedian Daren Streblow describes his comedy as “Night club tested — Pastor approved.” In general, this does describe the Bananas series. In the case of this 4-disc set representing the entire first tv season, that might be too broad of a statement. Due to the sheer volume of jokes and variety of styles contained in this series, there is some material that might not be suited for all audiences. A few jokes do come at the expense of some serious subjects like domestic abuse, disrespect for authority, and religion.

There is no doubt that the “Bananas” series is often hysterical and very enjoyable. I just want to caution parents of young children that while most of the comedians in this series are wholesome, some of the material might not be appropriate for everyone. You might, as I did, find your children repeating phrases that while not outright offensive are not exactly cute either.

We do award the Dove Seal of approval for ages 12 and above.
