Synopsis

Mistaken identities lead to adventure when poor Tom Canty swaps places with royal Prince Edward in this new animated version of the beloved classic! When a strange turn of events brings the unlikely pair together, they are amazed to find that their appearances are identical. They mischievously trade places by swapping clothes, but soon find that returning to their true lives is not so easy. With a little help from a wisecracking court jester and a cranky donkey, the two work to ensure that everyone in their land will live happily ever after. Featuring all-new songs and music, The Prince and the Pauper-Double Trouble is double the fun for everyone!

Dove Review

This is a great DVD to introduce your children to the story of “The Prince and the Pauper”. As the Prince and the Pauper switch places the adventure begins for both. The animation is creative and really brings the characters to life. There are a few scenes that have a sword fight and fist fights but it’s all animated and no blood is shown. This is a great version of Mark Twain’s original story. Dove is happy to award the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages.
