Synopsis

Jane, Robert, Cyril and Anthea hope for “something to happen” and their wish is granted most spectacularly! By accident, they become the owners of an ancient talking bird, the Phoenix, when it hatches from a magnificent egg after 2,000 years of rest. With the bird’s encouragement, the children climb aboard his magic carpet and are transported anywhere they want to go—to tropical islands, in search of treasures, and on daring rescues.

A magical mix of fantasy and fun, The Phoenix And The Carpet is an extraordinary journey for the whole family!

Dove Review

“The Phoenix and the Carpet” is a charming tale of mystery, adventure and fantasy as four siblings discover a magical carpet that comes with a whimsical talking bird, the Phoenix. Their wish is for “something to happen” … and happen it does! With a little prodding from the Phoenix, the children climb aboard the carpet for tropical islands, treasure hunts and more excitement than they bargained for. The siblings stick together while dealing with the excitement of soaring over rooftops, encountering island natives and using up their allotment of daily wishes.

This film does feature several minor childish scuffles and name calling, otherworld talking creatures, fantasy magic and a small amount of mild language. We are however pleased to give a 12+ approval rating for this delightful family adventure film.
