Synopsis

The vacationing Chipmunks and Chipettes are turning a luxury cruise liner into their personal playground, until they become ‘chipwrecked’ on a remote island. As the ‘Munks and Chipettes try various schemes to find their way home, they accidentally discover their new turf is not as deserted as it seems.

Dove Review

You have to love Alvin! He’s back with a new adventure and plenty of laughs. Alvin might actually believe it when he finds himself at the bow of a ship and shouts, “I’m the king of the world!”

The International Music Awards’ big wigs want the Chipmunks to give a live performance, and not just them but those cute little Chipettes as well. Dave has the boys and girls attend the planned event but he has them enjoy a bit of a vacation on a ship too. Dave thinks everyone will have a good old time. You would think Dave would learn after the previous two movies!

Alvin is not always obedient and usually he gets into trouble when he’s not. He is told to stay in his cabin but decides to disobey Dave and head out to the ship’s nightclub for a bit of gambling. As usual, Alvin’s plans backfire. The Chipmunks and Chippettes wind up overboard and eventually end up on a deserted island. They figure Dave will come along but soon they get a good dose of what poor old Gilligan must have felt like on that island. But rest assured, it will be a happy ending by the time the credits roll.

If you enjoyed Alvin’s first two adventures on the big screen, it is a pretty good bet you will like this one too. We highly recommend “Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip-wrecked” for all ages. You might enjoy it so much you might hope for Alvin to NOT get off the island so the adventure will last a bit longer!
