A Family Thanksgiving

Claudia (Daphne Zuniga) is a workaholic who wants more than anything to make partner at her law firm. To accomplish her goal, she has put everyone and everything else on the backburner. But when a mysterious woman (Faye Dunaway) uses a bit of magic to help Claudia realize what she’s been missing, she gets a serious dose of reality. Transported into a life unlike her own—complete with a husband, kids and a mini-van—she must cope with her new responsibilities. At first, Claudia tries to implement the strategies that served her well in the corporate world. But when she realizes that this new life requires a little more heart and a little less heavy-handedness, she begins to see that her old ways weren’t so great after all.

Dove Review

Here is a wonderful DVD for your family viewing time. This is an imaginative and wholesome family movie which features a wonderful theme about keeping a balance in life between work and family time, and making sure the family time doesn’t wind up on the short end of the balancing act.

Claudia (Daphne Zuniga) has worked hard and is near her goal of making partner at her law firm but everyone including her sister is put on the shelf for the duration. A mysterious woman played by Faye Dunaway uses her magic to transport Claudia into the life she could have, including having a husband and kids. Claudia’s early goal is simply to get back to her life as a lawyer but as a little time passes, she begins to enjoy the roles of wife and mother and soon realizes she doesn’t want to go back to the old life.

We are more than pleased to award this whimsical film, with strong family elements, our Dove Seal for family-friendly viewing. We recommend this one for ages twelve plus due to the language
