The Pirates!: Band of Misfits

In The Pirates! Band of Misfits, the luxuriantly bearded Pirate Captain is joined by a rag-tag crew. With seemingly blind to the impossible odds stacked against him, the Captain has one dream: to beat his bitter rivals Black Bellamy and Cutlass Liz to the much coveted Pirate Of the Year Award. It’s a quest that takes our heroes from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. Along the way they do battle with the pirate-hating Queen Victoria and team up with a young Charles Darwin, but never lose sight of what a pirate loves best: adventure!

Dove Review

What a hilarious movie and with great animation and 3D to boot! This one will leave your family in stitches. This movie features a lot of physical comedy.

The plot is this: The Pirate Captain sets out on a mission to top his rivals Black Bellamy and Cutlass Liz. At stake is the Pirate of the year Award. The quest takes Captain and his crew on a journey, spanning the shores of Blood Island to the fog-shrouded streets of London during the Victorian age. Part of the charm of this film is the pirates being honest about how they love to loot and run people through! Much of the comedy is based on physical humor and exaggeration. However, due to a few intense scenes and the violence (with a lot of humor thrown in) we are recommending the film for ages twelve and above.

Join this group of rebel pirates for several laughs. It’s a pretty harmless way to spend 88 minutes.
