Synopsis

“R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour” is an anthology series aimed at kids and teens, and inspired by the stories of horror master R.L. Stine. Each thirty minute episode is a talk of horror and suspense, invariably involving a supernatural element. Disdaining gore and overt violence, the episodes rely on sharp storytelling and imaginative cinematic techniques to evoke chills, thrills and scares.

Dove Review

Here is volume 2 of “R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour” with a collection of five more episodes of the intriguing thrillers. These five episodes bring tales of “The Red Dress”, “Ghostly Stares”, “The Walls”, “Game Over” and “Alien Candy”, each with a haunting story that will put you on the edge of your seat. Whether you like video games, think things live in the wall or just believe in ghosts this collection will entertain the horror loves at heart without the overly bloody gore.

I recommend that this DVD should not be shown to younger children that are easily frightened. With that note, “R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour Vol. 2” is awarded the Dove “Family Approved” 12+ seal.
